 Hi Friends!

The time is getting closer and closer, I have been watching the days and minutes till Santa comes. I was sure to leave some carrots for my furry friends, I bet they will love a little snack with all the flying they are doing around the world. 

Tonight my mommy and I pulled out grandma's secret recipe box to find the perfect recipe for Santa's cookies. It took us awhile to find it as grandma has so many cookie recipes! But once we finally found it, I got even more excited to bake them!

We had to be sure we used the exact ingredients and measured everything just perfect. We made a huge mess with the flour and sugar stuff but we had so much fun. This year we decided to do double chocolate fudge cookies....Soooo much chocolate! Santa is going to definitely need a huge glass of milk for these cookies. Once the dough and stuff was all prepared we grabbed the plastic container that had all of mommy's cookie cutters in it. Mommy let me pick the shapes for us to make this time. I picked out the Star and the Moon shapes. I thought of all the stars in the whole world Santa gets to see and the moon he jingles on by in the night sky would be perfect. Mommy thought it was a really thoughtful of an idea.

Once We finished cutting out the shapes and placing them on the pan it was time to bake them. 

As we waited through the whole house you could smell the delicious cookies baking. I kept walking over toward the oven to peak to see if they were done. My mommy said perfection takes time. I was just to excited I could feel my belly rumbling for a cookie! 

Finally!! the cookies are done. Mommy pulled them from the oven and placed them on the cooling rack. Mommy says we have to let them cool down a minute before trying them out. 

While they cool, Mommy poured the huge glass of milk for Santa, We also had to write him a little note. 

Ok.. It is time! Mommy says. We each picked a cookie to try. My eyes opened so wide, My mouth kept chomping away on the cookie.. I couldn't believe it! These cookies are soooo delicious! I really think I could of eaten the whole batch, But we had to be sure to make Santa a plate of cookies.

We brought the plate of cookies, glass of milk, and note over into the living room, We placed them right next to the Christmas tree so Santa could see! 

I asked mommy if I could sit down next to the tree and try to watch for when Santa arrived. I really wanted to see him!

I tried to stay up but I felt my eyes getting heavy, I thought maybe I could just lay down and rest my eyes while I wait.

It is a beautiful day outside today! I am currently on vacation with my family at our beach house and so far it has been so much fun here. I got to go a few new places around the town we stay at this time which was great! 

We had done a bit of shopping before we left for our vacation, It is kind of a tradition to plan a day to all go out and buy new outfits to wear.     Today was a cold rainy day outside, Bummer as I had plans to go to the park with my friends. But my mommy said it wouldn't be a good idea to go outside I could catch a cold, So maybe tomorrow the sun will be shining and we could all go then. I didn't think so, I do have rainboots and a raincoat I could wear and I am sure my friends and I would have fun jumping in puddles! But mommy always knows best.

So since I had to stay inside I figured I could just plop my little self up on the sofa with some snacks and watch cartoons all day. I wanted to beat my sister to the tv before she put on her drama soap opera shows, So I quickly went to my room and put on my new comfy outfit I had just got at KIDOODLED!

Phew...that was a close one. I make in to the snack drawer ooo cookies! grab a bag of those and OMG! I hear my mommy...Tuck n roll behind the kitchen island. Ok she is on the phone blabbing to my aunty, That will distract her a good while. I grab a juice out the fridge, I think we are all set now, to get to the sofa! Takes a deep breath and makes a run for it! 

I made it! plops up on the sofa with my snacks and my bear next to me, As I stretch out on the sofa. Now to find the cartoon channel and relax....

    Hi There! What another beautiful day it is out today, The sun is shining and the birds are chirping away singing songs from high up in the trees. 

I thought what a perfect day for a walk, Some time to enjoy the outdoors and all the calm. No work just so much needed me time.

You see a lot of us get all caught up in the everyday craziness with all we do rather it is working, building, sports or taking care of our family. That while we all do the best we can each day to juggle our everyday lives, We often forget to stop and take a few moments for ourselves to relax and breathe and just enjoy the calmness that we so quickly forget exist. 

These few moments give us time to let our busy brain slow down for a few moments and really reflect on our thoughts and time to think out complicated situations. It helps us to slow down even just for a little bit. Even if its to just take a deep breath  and put our feet up. It allows us care free time. Which I find is very helpful, A reminder of sorts that we all don't need to race through life doing 120mph and that it is ok to go at our own pace and really enjoy the time and moments in each day. 

So, Take the time to have these moments each day and create memories that we can forever remember. Take time to be kind to each other when on the go and even during the crazy times never forget to smile. Even when you may think or feel over overwhelmed or things are not good enough. Never give up. Allow yourself to remember you are enough even when you may not feel like you are. Appreciate the little things it doesn't matter how small it may be. Most of all, Be yourself. No matter what others may say or think about you, If you are true to yourself the best is yet to follow you on your journey.

With all I have thought about today the most important thing is to allow yourself to be happy!
